Alpha CRC opened its doors in Cambridge in 1987, with a simple goal: helping our clients succeed on the global stage.

Now, almost four decades later, that belief still shapes how we work.

From helping enterprises solve complex language challenges to developing agentic product testing support, we take a holistic approach to globalization initiatives. What started out as a translation company now encompasses Bespoke AI development, audiovisual production, and multilingual content production.

Welcome to Alpha CRC.

Our journey began in 1987. While we started our story as a translation company, our core mission has always been defined by a relentless passion for excellence. Today, that passion has evolved alongside the world around us; we have transitioned from language experts to a global provider of world-class technology solutions, bringing that same founding spirit to every project we undertake.

At Alpha CRC, we believe that while technology is our engine, people are our heart. We are a collective of expert humans - engineers, linguists, developers, creatives, and project managers - who truly love working with technology. We don’t just use tools; we use our diverse skills to help our clients to reach their goals.

    Vassilis Chamalidis

    Chief Executive Officer

    Vassilis brings significant international experience to Alpha. He has worked in business development and general management positions in a number of international companies, including Procter & Gamble, Mercer Management Consulting and Brambles Industries in France, Italy, the Czech Republic, and the US. Prior to joining Alpha, Vassilis was the CEO of LinguaNet, a localization company with offices throughout Europe. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and is fluent in English, French, German, Italian, and Greek.

    Mette Tingey

    Chief Commercial Officer

    Born in Denmark, Mette has been with Alpha for more than 20 years in various production and commercial roles. Throughout her tenure, Mette has held pivotal positions in linguistic QA, project, program, and account management, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the entire localization process. Her ability to successfully navigate complex projects and manage diverse teams has earned her a reputation for excellence within the industry.

    Chief Operating Officer

    Having started her career in localization on the client side with several multinational companies, Charlotte has now been with Alpha for 15 years. She previously held the roles of Head of Project Management and Account Director and now leads Alpha’s Consumer division, a discrete and growing part of the business.

  • Dmitri Kanarjov, Chief Engineering Officer

    Chief Engineering Officer

    Dmitri has degrees in IT and Management. He started his career in 2004 as a Functional QA engineer and spent 8 years working in FQA services. He then spent 6 years as a Localization Project Manager, until becoming Head of QA and Engineering in our Tallinn office.

  • Fernando Blasi, Director

    Fernando Blasi

    Director

    Fernando Blasi is one of the veterans of the language industry and has experience with multinationals and international organizations in the US, Ireland, Continental Europe and the UK. Fernando has managed large-scale multilingual projects designing and influencing processes, assisting in and promoting globalization solutions and in recent times has been involved in establishing and developing large scale operations for Alpha CRC. He is a board member at Alpha CRC and currently leads the DXT team, one of the key divisions in Alpha CRC.
