The need for speed with precision

Siemens needed comprehensive localization support that met aggressive delivery timelines while maintaining quality standards across diverse content types and technical requirements. The project would require weekly sprint cycles with rapid turnaround times and precise coordination across all content streams.

Many of the materials varied significantly in subject matter and domain complexity, including marketing materials, newsletters, legal documentation, eLearning modules, and medical device content covering diagnostic imaging systems and laboratory diagnostics equipment. This content needed translation into more than 45 language variants, spanning Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, multiple European languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Hebrew), and other specialized locales.

A broad expertise base

The combination of tight weekly deadlines, technical complexity, regulatory prerequisites, and such a large number of language requirements meant that Siemens needed a multifaceted localization approach which would, at the same time, deliver with both speed and precision.

Alpha CRC saw that the technical scope for the project would extend beyond translation to require a full language intelligence program, including desktop publishing, functional testing, language quality assurance for eLearning content, graphic mock-ups, and engineering work on eLearning platforms, all of which the company could handle in house.

With a stable pool of linguists set up, with technical, medical, legal, and marketing expertise respectively, Alpha CRC was able to maintain terminology consistency and retained domain knowledge throughout the weekly sprint cycles.

A full complement of services

Alpha CRC created a custom review process that incorporated final approval workflows, which required stakeholder sign-off before delivery. A dedicated Language Quality Control function analyzed quality data consistently across all languages and content streams, enabling continuous monitoring and performance tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

As well as delivering comprehensive technical capabilities to support Siemens’ diverse content needs, Alpha CRC also provided multilingual copywriting services, writing case studies for Siemens Liaising with the company’s digital industries division, Alpha CRC’s specialist writers created 50+ case studies focusing on Siemens’ client base across China, Korea, India, and Australia to deliver case studies written in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

Ongoing global content requirements

Alpha CRC achieved consistent quality results through continuous quality monitoring throughout the engagement. The dedicated teams and custom review processes delivered stable and predictable quality across all content types and language variants, meeting Siemens’ standards for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and linguistic precision.

The partnership between Alpha CRC and Siemens has continued for over five years, demonstrating sustained customer satisfaction through contract renewals. Alpha CRC now serves as a trusted localization partner across multiple Siemens business units, supporting the company’s ongoing global content needs and maintaining the weekly sprint delivery model that the relationship requires.
