That’s where Alpha CRC’s suite of Mini Tools comes in: a browser-based set of utilities designed to make your localization experience as smooth and effortless as possible.
Developed with a “life’s too short for manual file prep” philosophy, our Mini Tools are our secret weapon (shh, keep it to yourself) for tackling the unglamorous, time-consuming challenges that can cause localization projects to drag on. Whether you’re sending over a massive CSV, a bundle of JSON files, or proprietary translation memories, you needn’t worry about compatibility. Our CSV slicer, JSON-XML converter and TS-Excel tools ensure we can handle all conversions, extractions and formatting for you.

Ever had a 500mb CSV with 300,000 strings for translation? Our CSV slicer enables us to break those files into manageable chunks without crashing Excel. Simply send your desired file to the Alpha CRC team, and we will split it into a neatly packaged ZIP with translator-ready files.
No CAT tools currently support multilingual JSON, but your resource files are JSON-formatted. Our converter allows for click-of-a-button conversion to XML, saving roughly 45 minutes of file prep time per language. Once translated, files are converted back to JSON just as easily.
No need to worry about manually extracting unfinished translations from Qt TS files. Our tool automatically creates an Excel sheet with all unfinished translations neatly organized by language code, saving around 1.5 hours of manual extraction and formatting time.
Translation memories are infinitely valuable – as long as you can actually access the data inside them. Our tool converts TMX files to Excel with coloured tag formatting, preserving everything along the way (even XML tags), and saving roughly three hours of manual work in the process.

Our Mini Tools are built on a carefully architected system that balances performance and flexibility. The back-end services use Python with FastAPI, providing asynchronous request handling and background task processing for long-running operations. The architecture is environment-aware, automatically switching between development and production endpoints (saving the poor pseudo-dev a lot of already frayed brain cells).
